Providing Long-Term Survival Facilities for You and Your Family

Be Prepared .....

A Pandemic is a disease prevalent throughout an entire country, continent, or the whole world; epidemic over a large area.

Sometimes it's the little things that get you.

If a deadly pathogen were to get to you, then you probably won't need a survival facility. But, if you become aware that a deadly pathogen has been detected somewhere else and is spreading to everywhere....where would you go ?

If your survival plan addresses this topic, maybe you will be able to put on protective breathing gear, but where will you go for long-term survival ?

You won't be able to live in a gas mask or a survival suit for months.

If a threat like this were to materialize you would need a facility like our "survival condo" or some other self-contained facility with Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical (NBC) air filtration. The sooner you could get to such a facility, the better your chances of survival. Survival favors the prepared.

One potential pathogen that has been getting worldwide attention is the Avian Flu (aka. Bird Flu or H5N1). According to the CDC, "There is little pre-existing natural immunity to H5N1 virus infection in the human population. If H5N1 viruses gain the ability for efficient and sustained transmission among humans, an influenza pandemic could result, with potentially high rates of illness and death worldwide."

A well prepared survival facility will have facilities for washing before entering the facility, NBC air filtration, and procedures and supplies for fighting or treating pathogens.

Swine Flu Variant Now Deadly, Possible Pandemic

"This is an animal strain of the H1N1 virus and it has pandemic potential because it is infecting people," Dr. Margaret Chan said Saturday speaking to reporters by phone. Mexican officials closed all schools Friday in the capital city in an effort to combat the swine flu virus that has killed at least 68 people in Mexico. "This situation has been developing quickly," said acting Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Richard Besser. "This is something we are worried about." The human influenza vaccine's ability to protect against the new swine flu strain is unknown, and studies are ongoing, said Dr. Anne Schuchat, the CDC's interim deputy director for science and public health program. There is no danger of contracting the virus from eating pork products, she said.
